The National Data Center has successfully integrated a renewable energy system into its operations in 2026 as part of a phased effort to optimize energy consumption and increase the use of renewable energy. This initiative supports one of the Center’s key strategic objectives: to develop energy-efficient infrastructure that meets international standards through innovation and advanced technologies.
On October 5, 2026, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Communications Ch. Nomin and State Secretary B. Myagmarnaran visited the National Data Center and attended the system’s inauguration ceremony. They highlighted the importance of using renewable energy to power the cooling system, improving energy efficiency while supporting reliable operations and sustainable development.
The system supplies electricity to the server room’s cooling system, enabling renewable energy to meet a portion of the National Data Center’s electricity needs. This is a concrete step toward improving energy efficiency, reducing reliance on conventional energy sources, and minimizing environmental impact.
The National Data Center will continue to expand its use of renewable energy, strengthen energy monitoring and management, improve equipment efficiency, and introduce advanced cooling technologies and smart solutions. As it develops infrastructure for artificial intelligence, big data, high-performance computing, and cloud technologies, the National Data Center remains committed to implementing energy-efficient, environmentally responsible green data center solutions as a core strategic priority.
